HAPPIDOJO JUDO CLUB

Happidojo is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well being of all its members. The club believes that it is important that members, coaches, administrators and parents associated with the club should, at all times, show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of others. Therefore, members are encouraged to be open at all times and to share any concerns or complaints that they may have about any aspect of the club with David Southby

As a member of Happidojo Judo Club you are expected to abide by the following club rules:

•All members must play within the rules and respect officials and their decisions.

•All junior members should remain in the main hall until collected by parents/carers.

•All members must show respect to opponents (uke) – bowing to each other prior to and after practicing or fighting with each other. Respect must always be shown to coaches and referees.

•The club reserves the right to suspend or terminate a player’s membership following breach of the rules.

•Members should keep to agreed timings for training and competitions or inform their coach or team manager if they are going to be late.

•Members must wear suitable kit, the wearing of hard or metallic objects is prohibited whilst training or competing and appropriate footwear should be worn to the mat edge to/from the changing rooms/toilets. Female members should also wear a club t-shirt or plain white t-shirt under their Judogi top. Nails to be kept short and hair tied back.

•Members must pay any fees for training or events promptly.

•Players must seek permission from the coach to leave the mat during the session.

•Members are not allowed to consume alcohol or drugs of any kind on the club premises or whilst representing the club.

•Members should not interfere with the other activities at the Rugby Club and should remain within the designated areas for Happidojo members use ie, the main hall, changing and toilet areas.

•Parents and onlookers are welcome and encouraged to attend training sessions and competitions but asked to remain respectfully quiet.
